wheelie dont know what ya know about pc,but follow this,most u probally know.PC WILL RUN LIKE A ROCKET.
best spyware is adawar type that in google,and type in spybot search and destroy.you have to find the free one though.
I don't know how advanced you are with regards to a PC.

OK......first off all PC runs slow because of all the crap that are on them first thing is to clean it all up.
open Internet explorer,find tools,Internet options,you need to delete files,cookies, history,delete all.
Find days to keep history,I'm sure you have it on 20 or 21,every time you visit a web page this stays on your hard drive,that's why pages take so long to load,Because its searching your hard drive......put it on zero,Or the lowest you are able,click apply.
OK that's cleaned a little.
Next click start,all programmes,accessories,system tools.disk clean up,do both drives.
Next click start again,all programmes,accessories,system tools,disk defragment,analyze both c and d to see if they both need a degragment.

A computer needs baby sitting and has to be cleaned up regularly.I do this at least 2 times a week.
one other thing you can do is to click run, in run type in msconfig/SERVICES,START UP
Here is your system configuration,which show you what programmes are starting up,be carefull not to disable what you don't recognize,msn,you will see in there,Example that you can stop this if you wish,look around to see what you want to start up or not...?
having said all that all these spyware programmes are cr@p,claiming they found this and that.page freezing is cause your pc is in a mess,with due repect.
remeber that msconfig i told you about,and stop all programmes that you dont want running.
my fingers are sore now typing all this.
